"Now I'm stuck with that song... Now it's in my head."
This song is the title track of the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" and since morning, I havn't been able to get this song out of my head!!! It was buzzing in my head all day and I am still not sick of it yet! :)
Partake in my agony! Enjoy...

With three daughters in their twenties, I listen to this kind of songs off and on. Generation gap or may be what one hears in childhood has strong influence. It is still old Hindi (a language I do not understand except for a few words) film songs and Telugu songs which give me a lot of thrill. I tried some of Aan songs on my daughter when she was a baby and now am trying them on her daughter Leila. They seem to help as lullabies, may be you can try on your nephew and see whether they work.
Interestingly, I do not listen to those childhood songs anymore, though I still appreciate Ilayaraja's music, it is not part of my everyday life anymore.
Music is something I fell really in love with in college but my taste and preferences have kept changing each passing year.
And who can forget Aan...
But I intend to trouble him with some nice country music.. :)
Suddenly, I started wondering whether we are thinking of the same "Aan". The one I had in mind came out in 1952. The songsI have been using (some times my versions) are 'Gao tarane man ke' and 'Aaj mere man mein sakhi'. Cheers.
Swarup
yeah, the one with dilip kumar in it.
what do you mean by "my versions" ?
you are a composer?
dont you dare gat aryan addicted to rock music......
'my versions'; sometimes I 'sing' them too. I find after a while words and tunes change somewhat and take a life of their own. The only tune which did not change is Lata's 'eri maito prem divani'.
priya: country, not rock!
swarup: so, you 'cover' these songs. :)
I think that the same song and music is heard differently by different people. And when they sing them, they assign their meanings to the song and you can notice it in their intonations/emphasis of the words.
yes its a good number, who are the singers ? I am not qute familiar with new bands
Thank you for stopping by Madhat
@rauf: It is a pop/folk/country singer called Kate 'KT' Tunstall. The song (and her band) is very, very recent. In fact, I would have been most surprised if you had heard them before!
